The traditional distribution channels for tour operators include travel agents, group leaders, your Web site, links on other Web sites, and inside and outside sales reps. Other channels that help you spread the word may include paid advertising and media relations (when a publication covers your business or a specific tour in a news story). Media relations provide a powerful channel, though you will usually get coverage about something your business is doing, not about specific tours.
